“If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his own language, that goes to his heart.” - Nelson Mandela

     ¡Bienvenidos! Welcome!
My name is Mrs. Nash. I feel honored for having the opportunity to teach here at Dolgeville. I hope that, through my classes, my students expand their knowledge of the world around them and become productive, compassionate, successful world citizens. I hope to help students become stronger and better not only academically, but as human beings.

I teach Accelerated Spanish, Spanish II, Spanish III, and two college credited courses (FL-101 and FL-102). I am also the advisor for the DCS Spanish Club and for our High School Odyssey of the Mind.

I was born in Panama; my maternal grandfather was from Spain and my maternal grandmother from Argentina. I grew up in Panama and went to Panamanian schools, including the University of Panama (Law School). I also attended SUNY Institute of Technology (Bachelor in Business and Public Management), Utica College of Syracuse University (Master in Science), Complutense University of Madrid, Spain (Spanish Literature Advanced Doctoral Studies). I have a professional license to teach in New York. In addition, I recently became a nationally certified teacher.

I am married to Steven, a retired Air Force veteran with twenty one years of service. We have a son, Philip. Philip is a sophomore at DCS. I treat each one of my students in the same manner I would like my son to be treated. I love spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy reading, writing, traveling, teaching, and learning.

Thank you for coming to my classroom with a positive attitude and a desire to learn about the language and cultures of the Spanish-speaking countries!
